Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival is pleased to announce auditions for its 2017 Season:
The following role has been pre-cast: Falstaff in The Merry Wives of Windsor. All other roles are open and will be cast according to Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival’s open casting policy.
Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival was founded by a group of actors, scholars, and educators who delight in seeing the Bard’s work as originally intended on stage: intimate, dynamic, accessible, and linguistically rich.
The mission of the Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival is to faithfully portray classics of the Renaissance and American stage for the purpose of producing works that honor authorial intent, enlighten audiences, and revitalize our understanding of theatre through performance and education.
If you live in Phoenix, be aware that Macbeth will rehearse in Phoenix, but The Merry Wives of Windsor and All’s Well That Ends Well will rehearse in Flagstaff this summer. All shows will run in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona (see performance schedule here).
While both Flagstaff-based and Phoenix-based actors will be considered for all shows, and some housing accommodations are possible, actors are highly encouraged to seek their own accommodations while working outside of their home community.
