ANTIGONE--For Antigone, the unjust death of her brother was a call to take her battle to the streets that could include violence against authority. For her sister Ismene Polyneices’ death was a call for calmness and staying at home and staying safe – away from possible mob violence. The sisters are torn apart with how they each handle their grief. Will a voice from their past help them find a way to solace?
Carpe Denim--Consumerism meets--and does a hostile takeover--of the Black Lives Matter Movement. Electrifying and terrifying.
Prometheus Shrugged--After an eternity of having his liver eaten every morning by an eagle only to have it grow back overnight, Prometheus is about to be set free by Heracles. A comedy.
RENOWN--Renown is in response to the Black Lives Matter Movement. Two of the three characters are African American and have died at the hands of law enforcement. The third, a delinquent racist, is convicted for gunning down nine parishioners in a church bible study. The three convene to discuss motives and consequences of theirs and other’s actions.
The Steps--Three young children wait on a court room’s steps as their parents are being married. Three internal monologues about life as a new family ensue.
Trapped--Trapped is about Two Women/Biological or Gender Binary – discovering they are characters in a play on stage but will be performed live on Zoom. Director leaning towards Existentialism lens. Wit & Humor Welcome.
