Show Synopsis

The timeless “Wizard of Oz” tale relates the story of a cyclone that carries Dorothy and Toto to the magical Land of Oz. Her house squashes the Wicked Witch of the East, she is thanked by the liberated Munchkins and given permission to wear the witch’s powerful silver slippers. From there, he Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion and Tin Woodsman, join Dorothy on a journey to meet the great Oz. With help from Glinda the good witch and the Oziana they defeat the wicked witch and return home.

What To Prepare

Auditions will consist of singing, dancing, movement and reading from the script. No advanced preparation is necessary. Come dressed for movement and bring a photo of yourself you can leave at the audition.

Celebrating its 20th season of award winning theatre for youth, East Valley Children's Theatre offers classes, workshops, performance troupes, camps and technical theatre for kids age 5-18. We perform classic children's literature and fairy tales with a twist.
