Show Synopsis

This Sondheim/LaPine musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters‛ wishes and dreams. When a childless baker and his wife embark on a quest to begin a family, they interact with storybook characters from “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Rapunzel”, and “Cinderella”, during their journey. Will their wishes come true? And do they really want them to?

This telling of the story will include a young, charismatic narrator and mythical spirits (dancers, singing skills not required).
