Show Synopsis

James, an anxious young man, finds himself in a seedy small town strip club where he teams up with a talented stripper to learn how to pole dance and his views on masculinity are challenged.

Character Breakdown

JAMES – (male, 20s) A highly anxious and self-conscious young man with a unique secret hobby of pole dancing
SKADI – (female, 20s) A no nonsense stripper with an astounding amount of stage presence, kind but wary
IAN- (male, 20s) James’ best friend, loveable but a bit oblivious, frat adjacent
MARTIN-(male, 30s-40s) An ignorant creep who believes he’s highly philosophical, co-dependent on Toad
TOAD- (male, 30s-40s) Big and burly, never speaks, co-dependent on Martin
TIM- (male, 20s-30s) A friend of Ian, very close minded.
JOAN-(female, 40s) Witty house mom, patient but stern and very protective of her girls.
EXTRAS – Pole dancing and non-dancing background

What To Prepare

Cold reads from the script will be provided, rehearsed monologues are also encouraged.
NOTE: The roles of James, Skadi, and some extras do require a background in Pole Dancing/Dancing and will be asked for a video/resume.
