Adult Classes & Workshops

Adult Ongoing Scene Study
An actor is always working on her craft. When you're not working, you should be in class. If you are serious about wanting to be a working, professional actor, then we invite you to study at Verve Studios. Scene Study is month-to-month, and ongoing. Students are encouraged to stay in class for a minimum of six months. MONDAYS: 1-4 pm and 6:30-9:30 pm; $165.00 per month.

Commercial Acting
In this market, Commercials are the bread and butter of the industry. An actor here must be well versed in commercials. COMMERCIAL ACTING gives the actor the tools and on-camera experience to successfully navigate any commercial audition. A DVD of the class work will be provided to the student at the conclusion of the course. WEDNESDAYS, September 1-October 6, 2010; 6:30-9:30 pm; $300

The Core
Can you articulate what your technique is? Do you know how you do what you do? Are you consistent? THE CORE is the nuts and bolts of acting technique so that you can attain both knowledge and confidence in your work. Actors will learn how to prepare and score a part, how to use dramatic improv and how to work effectively and flexibly with a scene partner. Students will work individually and will be partnered up; work and reading outside the class is required. The intensive class is the pre-requisite for entry into the Scene Study classes. WEDNESDAYS, October 13 - December 1, 2010; 6:30-9:30 pm; $275

TelePrompTer and Advanced Commercial Workshop also announced for Fall!
See website for details.
